I had a ton of old sweaters that no longer fit and that my kids had grown out of that were perfect for these. The tutorial is easy to follow and you can make as many as you want to use up your sweater.
I made 3 pairs from the same sweater because I even used the arm part! Now if I loose one I will have a back-up match.
